  • In case the central hub fails in Star topology then the entire network would fail while in the case the network cable fails in bus topology the entire network would fail.
  • In Star topology, as these devices are coupled the network derives data serially from a given device to another. Whereas in a bus topology, the relevant device in the periphery obtains the data directly from the network’s hub.
  • In star topology, the speed of data and information transferred is comparatively slower while the speed of data and information transferred in bus topology is comparatively faster.
  • It needs more cables in Star topology, however, in bus topology, it doesn’t need any cables.
  • To establish connectivity it needs a central hub along with some additional cables this is the reason the cost of implementation is pretty high in Star topology while in bus topology it does not need any such shenanigans due to which it incurs much lesser expenses.
